Dr. Sunita Dube – the visionary harbinger of heralding social change through medicine.
Armed with an MBBS Degree from Karnataka, Dr. Sunita Dube holds a Masters Degree in Radiology and an Advanced Diploma in Hospital Administration from IHCA, Bangalore. Her other professional degrees include:

Dr. Sunita Dube heads the Aryan Medical and Educational Trust, a registered charitable Non-Government Organization (NGO), which works with the lesser privileged citizens for enabling them with basic sanitation, education and nutrition.
Along with her commitment to the medical field, Dr. Sunita Dube is a staunch advocate of bringing in a social change in the lives of the under privileged through a dedicated social awareness programme targeted towards improving the quality of life of those who are deprived of basic education, healthcare and sanitation facilities. Dr. Sunita Dube is a firm believer in creating good karma through her actions towards her fellow human beings, irrespective of religious, cultural and economic differences.
To fulfill her dream and obligation towards society, Dr. Sunita Dube brought the entire healthcare community under one umbrella in 2011 for formulating a national culture of ensuring holistic and fair healthcare in the country. For bridging the gaps in this important sector, Dr. Sunita Dube has taken the revolutionary lead in bringing together medical professionals from different medical branches like Allopath, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, and Physiotherapy. She conducted a detailed research which revealed that the requirement and provision of Healthcare services have massive infrastructure issues. This first-of-its-kind non-profit platform was the result of this painstaking research.
Her commendable work in this domain has been recognized and appreciated by luminaries like former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and His Holiness Dalai Lama. Dr. Sunita Dube updated Dr. Kalam on her multiple efforts in the field of social service in a personal audience granted by the former President. This interaction gave a massive boost to the medical fraternity and ignited their passion of serving humanity through their medical expertise. Dr. Kalam shared Dr. Dube’s thinking that India needs a revolution in medicine sector. His Holiness the Dalai Lama showed his keen interest to support and create awareness about affordable and accessible health care for the needy. He will soon be participating in one initiative conceptualized by Dr. Dube for motivating doctors in building better relations with patients.
Dr. Sunita Dube also met up with the Honourable President of India, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, and updated him on the progress of her dream project “Save The Girl Child”. Mr. Mukherjee congratulated her and wished her all the best in her endeavour. Through this project, Dr. Dube aims to bring freedom and empowerment to the girl child and women of our country, enabling them to lead a happy, truthful and virtuous life and become the torch bearers of society. This project was also appreciated and complimented by Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi.

Activities & Programmes
Dr. Sunita Dube has conceptualized and executed more than 200 health camps through her hospital, and around 149 medical awareness programmes.
From “Save The Girl Child” campaign to an HIV-AIDS awareness campaign targeted towards youth and truck drivers, Dr. Sunita Dube has worked tirelessly to ensure that the lesser privileged are not denied the benefits of modern medicine. She has undertaken the daunting task of promoting preventive healthcare across the country.
A Breast Cancer awareness programme was successfully organized by Dr. Sunita Dube, along with a De-addiction and Rehabilitation camp for tobacco and drug addicts.
Dr. Sunita Dube has created the world’s first Doctor Anthem, which is a melodious rendering of the delicate bond between the doctors and their patients. This anthem beautifully encapsulates the efforts and challenges faced by doctors, and the concern they have towards their patients. This anthem has received support from prominent personalities like Honourable Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways – Government of India, and the Queen of Mysore, Shrimati Pramoda Devi. This anthem is written by noted lyricist Sameer Anjaan and composed by renowned music director Shameer Tandon.
For empowering Cancer survivors, Dr. Sunita Dube organized a charity art exhibition which was attended by social personalities and received outstanding response.
To celebrate excellence in providing holistic healthcare, Dr. Sunita Dube conceptualized and organized the world’s first unique Health Awards in 2011, to inspire and motivate medical and paramedical communities.
During the Maha Kumbh Mela in 2013, Dr. Sunita Dube successfully organized a free medical treatment camp where almost 2000 pilgrims received primary medical treatment.
After noticing that a large number of patients were coming to her hospital for treatment of diarrhea, Dr. Sunita Dube installed water filter in schools near the hospital, like Swami Vivekanand School and Kamgar School.
To improve doctor communication skill and better patient psychology management, Dr. Sunita Dube has proposed the integration of SMART DOCS in the MBBS curriculum.
Dr. Sunita Dube is the first doctor in India to initiate a legible handwriting awareness campaign for doctors, for preventing wrong medicine administration, by framing a series of tips for improving the handwriting of doctors.
In her relentless crusade against the heinous practice of female feticide, Dr. Sunita Dube has played an important role in sensitizing the medical community on this serious issue, and has also adopted several girls for empowering them with better education and proper nutrition.
For spreading awareness about HIV amongst the youth and transgenders, Dr. Sunita Dube organized a massive rally which was attended by more than 5000 people. Various dignitaries from medical organizations, colleges, institutes, schools, large corporations and prominent celebrities from the world of show business participated in this successful rally, which received significant media coverage.
Dr. Sunita Dube regularly contributes articles on medical and social issues to various national newspapers and magazines. She regularly appears on national television for sharing her views on various important issues. These media interactions have made her a national celebrity medical personality.
In the small village of Suriyawan, Dr. Sunita Dube operates a general hospital for providing medical facilities to the villagers. For ensuring that women do not get left behind in academics, she is successfully running one intermediate and one degree college which focus on women education. Being a staunch believer of the statement that India lives in her villages; Dr. Sunita Dube formed a team of five committed doctors and started the “K. N. Bakshi College of Education” in a remote area of Jharkhand. She regularly motivates doctors to work in rural areas.
